Al-Alim (ٱلْعَلِيمُ) translates to “The All-Knowing” or “The Omniscient.” This name signifies that Allah possesses complete and perfect knowledge of all things, both apparent and hidden, past, present, and future. Nothing escapes His awareness, no matter how minute or concealed.

Derived from the Arabic root ayn-lam-mim (ع ل م), this root encompasses meanings such as:
