Al-Hasib (الحسيب) translates to “The Reckoner”, “The Accountant”, or “The Sufficient One.” This name signifies that Allah is the One who takes account of all deeds and actions. Nothing is overlooked, whether small or great. He is also sufficient for His servants, meaning they need no one besides Him.

Root and Linguistic Significance

Derived from the Arabic root ha sin ba (ح س ب), this root includes meanings such as:
