Al-Kabir (الكبير) translates to “The Most Great” or “The Supremely Great.” This name signifies that Allah is greater than everything in existence. His greatness is absolute, limitless, and beyond comparison. Nothing equals Him in power, authority, or majesty.
Root and Linguistic Significance
Derived from the Arabic root kaf ba ra (ك ب ر), this root includes meanings such as:
- To be great, vast, or immense
- To be elevated in rank or status
- To possess majesty and supreme importance
