The Praised One

Al-Hamid (الحميد) translates to “The Praiseworthy.” This name signifies that Allah alone is worthy of all praise and gratitude. His actions are perfect, His attributes are flawless, and everything He decrees is based on wisdom and justice. He is praised in prosperity and in hardship.

Derived from the Arabic root ha mim dal (ح م د), this root includes meanings such as:
