The Prophet Said About Contentment with Islam
This hadith defines true success in a way very different from worldly standards. Success is not measured by wealth, status, or recognition, but by being guided to Islam, given what is sufficient, and feeling content with it. Contentment protects the heart from greed and comparison, allowing peace to settle within the soul.
The Prophet (pbuh) teaches that real prosperity is guidance and satisfaction. This reflects Allah’s names Al-Hadi, the One who guides to truth, and Al-Ghaniyy, the Self-Sufficient, who enriches hearts with contentment. Allah also reminds us, “And whoever relies upon Allah, then He is sufficient for him” (Quran 65:3). When the heart trusts Him, even little becomes enough, and sufficiency becomes abundance.
