The Prophet Said About the Rights of Neighbour

“Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should do good to the neighbour. Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should honour his guest. Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should speak what is good or remain silent.”
The Prophet | Muslim (48)

This hadith emphasizes that true faith is shown through how we treat our neighbours. Belief in Allah and the Last Day requires kindness, respect, and care toward those living around us. A believer does not harm, neglect, or ignore their neighbour’s needs.

Good neighbourly conduct builds trust and strengthens communities. As Allah says, “Worship Allah and associate nothing with Him, and be good to parents… and the neighbour who is near and the neighbour who is distant” (Quran 4:36), highlighting the sacred duty of honouring neighbours.
